As the Coronavirus pandemic unfolds in the UK, our main priority is ensuring the safety of everyone who comes to our food bank – whether it’s someone needing help, someone volunteering their time, or someone making a donation.
Things are changing quickly, so we’ll keep our website and social media updated regularly with information about what’s happening at Kingfisher Foodbank and how people can access support and help us be there for people in crisis.

'Call our free helpline. If you are in financial crisis, please call 0808 2082138 for free (open Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm) to talk confidentially with a trained Citizens Advice adviser. They can help address your crises and provide support to maximise your income, help you navigate the benefits system, and identify any additional grants you could be entitled to. If needed, they’ll issue you with a voucher so you can get an emergency food parcel from your local food bank.'

Foodbank Shortages We are constantly being asked the things we are most in need of, to help from now on we will be concentrating on the top needed items. Top shortages are as follows Tinned Rice/Custard Tinned Fruit Tinned Fish Sponge Pudding Squash/Cordial Tinned Potatoes Jam Cleaning Products Hand Sanitizer Shampoo Deodorant Dog Food Also any toiletries would be welcome including shower gel, shampoo, toothpaste, toilet rolls and deodorant. Also cleaning product and soap powder. Volunteers recruitment
Volunteer Recruitment has been suspended A huge thank you to Mondelez International who donate to our foodbank on a regular basis. We always welcome the treats they deliver to us especially at Christmas and Easter time.

Kingfisher Foodbank would like to thank all of our supporters we have raised a total of £3515. We are absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity we have received. Because of your help we will be able to continue to provide food parcels to those going through a crisis at the moment.
